Let­ter writer re­turns

In a few short months since the de­par­ture of the last Kapi-Mana News ed­i­tor the peo­ple of Porirua have been sub­jected to mis­rep­re­sen­ta­tion af­ter mis­rep­re­sen­ta­tion through the news­pa­per.

First, editorials are the view of the news­pa­per – peo­ple ap­par­ently don’t write them and it’s not the staff whose views are writ­ten.

Sec­ond, let­ters have been edited with­out say­ing so.

Third, in the Oc­to­ber 1 edi­tion we were told that voter turnout was 79 per cent higher than in the pre­vi­ous elec­tion and then the fol­low­ing week told re­turns were back to nor­mal.

Fourth, the Oc­to­ber 29 edi­tion told us about ex­ces­sive fees
