Online safety help for teachers
A new internet safety resource for teachers is being launched at Tawa Primary School.
The project is called OWLS and it was developed by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, NetSafe and the New Zealand National Commission for Unesco.
OWLS is about teaching children to be wise about online privacy and has 24 modules about protecting personal information online.
Today Associate Minister of Education Nikki Kaye will speak about the resource and there will be a demonstration.
The launch is timed to coincide with worldwide Safer Internet Day.
