When the Hur­ri­canes came

Yel­low was the colour to wear at Plim­mer­ton School when the Hur­ri­canes vis­ited last Tues­day.

Six in­jured play­ers taught the chil­dren about nu­tri­tion, how to do a haka, and one group got a spe­cial train­ing in ripper rugby.

Deputy prin­ci­pal Rose­mary Ox­nam said the school was im­pressed with the visit.

‘‘They have showed their ver­sa­til­ity,’’ she said.

‘‘They are show­ing the other side of their rugby ca­reers.’’

The six Hur­ri­canes who vis­ited were Vic­tor Vito, Tim Bateman, Eric Sione, Brad Shields, Reg Goodes and Matt Proc­tor.
