When the Hurricanes came
Yellow was the colour to wear at Plimmerton School when the Hurricanes visited last Tuesday.
Six injured players taught the children about nutrition, how to do a haka, and one group got a special training in ripper rugby.
Deputy principal Rosemary Oxnam said the school was impressed with the visit.
‘‘They have showed their versatility,’’ she said.
‘‘They are showing the other side of their rugby careers.’’
The six Hurricanes who visited were Victor Vito, Tim Bateman, Eric Sione, Brad Shields, Reg Goodes and Matt Proctor.
