Mainsy delights the home fans

Porirua’s Adam Mainsy beat his experienced opponent Andrew ‘‘Bloodbath’’ McGrath to take a national World Kick Boxing Federation title on Saturday night.

In front of a home crowd at Te Rauparaha Arena, the Aotea College old boy stopped McGrath in the third round of their 69.5kg fight. Mainsy finished his opponent with a knee to the head.

The evening, which involved several big-name fighters, produced spectacular action and was a resounding success.
