Man arrested for spying in toilet
A 39-year-old man was arrested late last week for spying on a woman while she went to the toilet in a public bathroom.
Earlier a man was spotted looking through the ceiling of Pataka museum’s women’s and disabled toilets.
A Cannons Creek man appeared in the Porirua District Court on Friday charged with performing an indecent act and burglary, and was remanded until this week.
A woman complained to Porirua police after she saw a man spying on her from a gap in the ceiling at the museum, Constable Aaron Graham said.
Police later found the ceiling tiles had been moved to create a gap for viewing. CCTV footage showed the man they had spoken to, Graham said.
