Stars join forces for Iris
Some of New Zealand’s most famous faces are rallying behind a Porirua girl diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Jammin for Iris is a charity basketball match for 7-year-old Iris Pouao.
Iris was diagnosed in February with a cancerous brain tumour called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma. The tumour is inoperable and incurable.
Celebrities Tana Umaga, Christian Cullen, Jerry Collins, Scribe, Brendon Pongia, Katrina Grant and other Central Pulse players are among those playing in the basketball match.
The money raised will allow Iris’ parents and younger brother to spend as much quality time with her as they can.
The match will be played at Te Rauparaha Arena on May 13, 6pm.
Tickets are $ 10 for adults and $5 for children and students.
