Stars join forces for Iris

Some of New Zealand’s most fa­mous faces are ral­ly­ing be­hind a Porirua girl di­ag­nosed with a brain tu­mour.

Jam­min for Iris is a char­ity bas­ket­ball match for 7-year-old Iris Pouao.

Iris was di­ag­nosed in Fe­bru­ary with a can­cer­ous brain tu­mour called dif­fuse in­trin­sic pon­tine glioma. The tu­mour is in­op­er­a­ble and in­cur­able.

Celebri­ties Tana Umaga, Chris­tian Cullen, Jerry Collins, Scribe, Bren­don Pon­gia, Ka­t­rina Grant and other Cen­tral Pulse play­ers are among those play­ing in the bas­ket­ball match.

The money raised will al­low Iris’ par­ents and younger brother to spend as much qual­ity time with her as they can.

The match will be played at Te Rau­paraha Arena on May 13, 6pm.

Tick­ets are $ 10 for adults and $5 for chil­dren and stu­dents.
