Let’s keep the Canopies

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

I’m for keeping the Canopies. The critics say they are an eyesore and that people get wet when standing at the sides when it rains.

Why don’t they use their brains – if it rains stand under the Canopies? That‘s what they are there for – shelter from the rain and sometimes the sun.

Many people have a disability, as I do. I enjoy walking with my kids under the Canopies when I’m shopping around that area.

Sometimes when the kids do their market days they set their stalls under the Canopies to sell their stuff. That is another important aspect.

Maybe the city council should paint the Canopies every two or three years.
