Jeremy Takao flipped the biggest switch of his life last week.

The 8-year-old from Russell School helped Prime Minister John Key switch on the turbines at the Meredian Energy’s Mill Creek wind farm in Ohariu Valley on Wednesday.

Jeremy got the opportunity through Meridian’s sponsorship of KidsCan and was chosen by school principal Sose Annandale.

Mill Creek is the 10th wind farm Meridian has developed or purchased.

By August, 26 turbines are expected to be operating.
