Tawa and Marist St Pat’s are set for a Swindale Shield rugby showdown at Kilbirnie Park on Saturday.
Tawa, seeking their second straight Swindale Shield, lost 18- 16 to a rugged Old BoysUniversity side at the Basin Reserve last Saturday, their second consecutive loss, and are now only one point ahead of MSP.

Northern United, meanwhile, must beat Upper Hutt on Saturday and hope other results go their way to make the Jubilee Cup round.
They beat Poneke 32- 30 at Kilbirnie Park, but remain ninth with 25 points. The top eight progress to the Jubilee Cup. Hutt Old Boys Marist and OrientalRongotai are on 27 and OBU 28.
Against Poneke, rampaging lock Api Naikatini made his first appearance of the season and scored two tries. ParemataPlimmerton put Norths senior 1 side to the sword 35-7 at Ngatitoa Domain.
Should Paremata-Plimmerton beat Oriental- Rongotai on Saturday, they will hang on to fourth spot and play Hardham Cup the rest of the winter.
In women’s premier rugby, Norths beat Stokes Valley by default.
Tawa went down 26-15 against Poneke, and finished the first round winless.
