Schools up­hold Stage Chal­lenge

Two Kapi-Mana schools daz­zled crowds at the Welling­ton re­gional fi­nals of Stage Chal­lenge last week.

Event man­ager Sarah-Jane Phillips said she was blown away by the stu­dents’ talent and hard work.

On the first night of the two-day event, Aotea Col­lege per­formed Evolve, with a mes­sage that the mu­sic you love may be from your past. It won awards of ex­cel­lence for cos­tum­ing char­ac­ter and school com­mu­nity.

On the sec­ond night, Tawa Col­lege per­formed Dance is Uni­ver­sal, about how any­one can dance. It won awards of ex­cel­lence for stage use, sound­track, set, de­sign and func­tion, cos­tum­ing char­ac­ter and school com­mu­nity.
