Eigh­teen pupils from Ti­tahi Bay North School vis­ited Welling­ton Zoo last Tues­day as part of the Ware­house Welling­ton Zoo­fari pro­gramme.

Zoo­fari is a part­ner­ship be­tween Welling­ton Zoo and The Ware­house to help lo­cal low- decile schools ex­pe­ri­ence con­ser­va­tion-based learn­ing pro­grammes at the zoo.

The Ware­house’s Welling­ton re­gion stores raised more than $25,000 to as­sist with the costs of learn­ing ses­sions at Welling­ton Zoo.

Schools from around the Welling­ton re­gion were in­vited to ap­ply. Six­teen schools are part of the 2014 pro­gramme, in­clud­ing Porirua East School, Can­nons Creek School, Maraeroa School, Rus­sell School, Ti­tahi Bay School, Ti­tahi Bay North School, Rangikura School, Corinna School, Bran­don Intermediate and Glen­view School from Porirua.
