Kick­box­ing ac­tion

There will be plenty of ac­tion when New Zealand top muay thai kick­box­ers and MMA fighters bat­tle it out at Te Rau­paraha Arena on Satur­day evening.

Rua ‘‘Dam­age’’ Druce is fight­ing Nick ‘‘The Monk’’ Trask for the Com­mon­wealth pro­fes­sional muay thai ti­tle in a fea­ture bout.

Queens­lan­der Trask is one of the top Aus­tralian fighters. Druce has 12 knock­outs in 24 fights and is al­ways ex­cit­ing to watch.

Whit­ney Tobin and Freya Thom­son fight for the na­tional women’s 55.3kg ti­tle.

Pro­moter Mark Hamp­ton said there was also a full un­der­card, in­clud­ing some in­ter­na­tional match-ups.
