Canada geese policy

I would like to correct the misconceptions in GM Brown’s letter (June 17) regarding the Guardians of Pauatahanui Inlet policy on Canada geese.

The guardians established a policy regarding Canada geese last December after surveying its members. A clear majority who responded were in favour of some form of control of the geese numbers, but there was a variety of views about what form that control should take.
