Leave the geese alone

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

I write in response to the letter (June 24) of Tony Shaw, chairman of Guardians of Pauatahanui Inlet, in which to support its policies he alleged that my two given examples of anecdotal information implied Guardian ownership of the examples.

To suggest I was implying Guardian ownership of the examples to support its policies is to draw a very long bow.

I stand by my comments, which were prompted by the Guardian use of the more easily accepted word ‘‘control’’ instead of cull.

Today our communities are computer literate. They are not in touch with the world. They deserve good information based on scientific fact.

Let us leave the small flock of geese in peace. They will surely fly away once the Transmission Gully road project gets under way.
