Does your car seat fit properly?

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION /NEWS -

Up to 85 percent of Porirua car seats may not be properly fitted, a recent free clinic has found.

Mana Parents Centre ran the Car Seat Clinic on June 22 at Mitre 10 Mega.

Of the 25 child restraints checked, only three did not need adjustments and those three had all been recently fitted by qualified technicians.

A couple of restraints needed complete reinstallation, including one in a grandparent’s vehicle that was very poorly fitted.

Mana MP Kris Faafoi and his two boys were among those who attended. Their car seats needed minor adjustment to the height of the shoulder straps, but Faafoi was very glad to know the boys were safe.
