Anti-violence messages get home
The St George Rugby League Club’s It’s Not OK with the Dragons antiviolence day on June 5 was a roaring success. More than 400 people attended. Nine matches were played by teams from Otaki, Kapiti, Te Aroha, Wainuiomata, Titahi Bay, Porirua Vikings and St George.
The lollipop squad’s presence made an impact, and supporters and players/coaches/trainers were aware when they were around, and made a conscious effort to model acceptable behaviour.
