Domino’s Porirua is holding a ‘‘ doughraiser’’ to help support Aotea College get its football team to a tournament in Nelson.

The fundraiser takes place tomorrow, with $1 from every side sold at the Hagley St store going to the team.

The secondary school Trident Tournament takes place in the first week in September.

Domino’s New Zealand general manager Scott Bush said it was their mission to support community initiatives where possible.

The Aotea College coach, and teacher in charge, Kevin Greig, said that they were thrilled to get a helping hand.

‘‘To take a little bit of pressure off our fundraising efforts is a relief.

‘‘We are getting right behind it by decorating the store in Aotea College colours, and some of the team will be there on the night to welcome customers and encourage them to buy more sides,’’ Greig said.
