Hoping to take a bow

Porirua Little Theatre’s latest show is in contention for a national award next week.

Our Show: Act Without Words, by Samuel Beckett, is directed by Rob Ormsby and stars Carl Johnstone, Nicki Bramwell-Cooke, Tanisha Wardle and Sandy Brewer.

The play won the regional final of the New Zealand Theatre Federation Festival in Feilding on August 23.

The national final will be held at Te Whaea (the New Zealand National Dance and Drama Centre) in Newtown on September 12 and 13.

Porirua Little Theatre president Sandy Brewer said it is the first time the troupe has entered the competitio­n in more than 15 years, and they were excited to be recognised by their peers.
