Com­pe­ti­tion win­ners

We had more than 150 en­tries to the Duck Creek and Mark Had­low com­pe­ti­tions and the win­ners were Claire Walker, from Tawa, and Pam Gra­ham, from Els­don, re­spec­tively.

Duck Creek fea­tured in the re­cent Wellington on a Plate fes­ti­val and has won awards for its menu. Its cur­rent own­er­ship be­gan in 2010 and the restau­rant has flour­ished un­der the lead­er­ship of Dean McFar­land.

Mark Had­low, mean­while, is per­form­ing his one-man show at the Prefab Hall in Jessie St, Wellington, un­til Septem­ber 20.

The show, named MAMIL (Mid­dle Aged Man In Ly­cra) has opened to rave reviews.

Penned by Gre­gory Cooper, MAMIL stemmed from con­ver­sa­tions be­tween the writer and Mark Had­low, after Had­low spent some time with cy­clists in 2011.

Tick­ets for MAMIL are $ 45 and avail­able through tick­et­mas­ter.co.nz.
