We had more than 150 entries to the Duck Creek and Mark Hadlow competitions and the winners were Claire Walker, from Tawa, and Pam Graham, from Elsdon, respectively.
Duck Creek featured in the recent Wellington on a Plate festival and has won awards for its menu. Its current ownership began in 2010 and the restaurant has flourished under the leadership of Dean McFarland.
Mark Hadlow, meanwhile, is performing his one-man show at the Prefab Hall in Jessie St, Wellington, until September 20.
The show, named MAMIL (Middle Aged Man In Lycra) has opened to rave reviews.
Penned by Gregory Cooper, MAMIL stemmed from conversations between the writer and Mark Hadlow, after Hadlow spent some time with cyclists in 2011.
Tickets for MAMIL are $ 45 and available through ticketmaster.co.nz.
