Kind acts mark start of spring

Kapi-Mana News - - NEWS -

What is September 1? It’s the first day of Spring, but is also National Random Act of Kindness Day.

This year the residents and staff of Summerset Aotea Retirement Village decided to do some Random Acts of Kindness in their community.

Many residents did their favourite baking, which was delivered to such places as the ambulance, fire brig- ade, police, hospital, Aotea Pathology, Pacific Radiology, medical centres etc. The response was overwhelming. One of the highlights was also to give baking to people on the street.

The retirement village was pleased with the reaction and intends making Random Act of Kindness Day an annual event.
