Tawa celebrates spring

Kapi-Mana News - - NEWS -

The rain didn’t stop hundreds from springing into Tawa on Saturday.

Spring into Tawa organiser Ron Baker said the market day had been an overall success.

A last- minute disaster turned out to be the highlight of the day when the organised entertainment pulled out and a group of children played instead.

‘‘They were particularly good – a crowd pleaser,’’ Baker said.

Tawa’s main street was lined with 62 stalls selling everything from cakes and curries to plants and toys.
