Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

The timer is ticking and in a few days, parents will be searching for things to keep their children busy these school holidays.

We’ve taken away the hard work and found out what’s happening around Porirua.

If you’re heading to the North City Shopping Centre for a bit of spending, check out the Unleash Creativity Centre, where children will be able to get creative while being supervised by qualified staff from 10am till 2pm, October 1 till 10, excluding the weekend.

If Pataka is more your scene, $10 classes are running during both weeks of the holidays.

Get artistic and create a glowing sculpture, make characters from magazine cutouts, or watch a puppet show.

If you’re travelling in to Wellington City, be sure to check out Improv for Kids! at Circa Theatre, September 29 till October 11. The 45 to 55-minute show is perfect for children from 4 to 12.

Feeling like snuggling up with a few books? Porirua’s libraries are revisiting their annual Freedom to Read theme, with special focus on the works of banned and challenged authors from around the world.

If your children need to run off some steam, Te Rauparaha Arena is holding a basketball programme.

Young fun: Zach and Levi Alexander from Khandallah like IMPROV for KIDS!.
