As part of its diploma curriculum, Te Wananga o Aotearoa art students are required to engage in a group task.

This year, the art classes decided to team up and run a wearable arts show.

The task was a fundraising event for the Cloud 9 Children’s Foundation, a community- led foundation that runs programmes/events for children with Asperger’s syndrome.

The project was a joint venture between visual arts and weaving classes and students created wearable looks that were exhibited on the night. Proceeds from ticket/art sales go toward the Cloud 9 Children’s Foundation. The night was a huge success with a massive turnout.

Students, teachers and Cloud 9’s Bill Murray were pleased with the show.
