Top school­boy rugby tal­ent will be on dis­play at Porirua Park this week in clashes be­tween teams rep­re­sent­ing New Zealand, Aus­tralian and Fiji.

There will be four big games, be­ing screened live on Sky.

Tues­day, Septem­ber 30: NZ Bar­bar­ians Schools v Aus­tralia Schools, 1.10pm; NZ Schools v Fiji Schools, 2.50pm.

Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 4: NZ Bar­bar­ians Schools v Fiji Schools, 1.10pm; NZ Schools v Aus­tralia Schools, 2.50pm.

Col­lege Sport Wellington’s Dave Macken­zie said it was the first time in many years the an­nual tour­na­ment had been played in Wellington and Porirua Park had been cho­sen be­cause it is such an out­stand­ing fa­cil­ity.

‘‘The first XV schools com­pe­ti­tion at this level is very good. There’s no doubt the qual­ity of play will be high.’’

A hand­ful of Wellington play­ers are likely to fea­ture in the NZ Schools and Bar­bar­ians teams.

The Fi­jian team based it­self in Porirua and trained at Bishop Viard Col­lege.
