Good old-fashioned fun will collide with the modern world on November 22 when Plimmerton School holds its annual fundraising gala.

The gala, one of the biggest in the region, will feature all the traditional stalls and attractions that have made it so successful each year. This year the funds raised will go towards upgrading the school’s IT resources.

Gala co-ordinator Brigitte Birch said the gala was all about having fun.

‘‘The formula for our gala is tried and true and keeps people coming back year after year,’’ Birch said.

Popular attractions include the mammoth slide, inflatable obstacle course, vertical bungy and the chance to ride Harley-Davidsons, Jet Skis or in hot rods and jeeps.

The white elephant stall is always a community favourite and everyone enjoys letting off steam at the crockery smash and smash a car.

A wide variety of food will be available.
