Combined boss for institutions
Whitireia Community Polytechnic and the Wellington Institute of Technology have decided to hire a single chief executive.
The move follows several decisions in recent years that have aligned the institutions, including: A single council. A single academic board and aligned quality management system.
The teaching of programmes at each other’s campuses.
Moves to create joint centres of excellence in the creative industries and in health and wellbeing. The creation of a shared services business unit. A joint international marketing strategy. The new chief executive is expected to be in the role in the first half of 2015.
