Museum set for bakeoff
Museum of Wellington City & Sea, with its friends from Pirate & Queen Productions, is putting the sweet in sweet tooth with a special birthday bakeoff to celebrate the museum’s 15th birthday.
On November 20, at 5.30pm, people will bring along their best cakes, and experts from Dough Momma, Sweet Cakery & Bakery, Wellesley Boutique Hotel, Eat & Greet and The Wellington Chocolate Factory will judge the best cakes in five categories.
Categories are best historical cake, best tasting cake, best looking cake, most inventive cake and the people’s choice.
To register a cake, email bakeoff@ pirateandqueen. co. nz by November 18. The first 12 to register will receive a gift from the museum on the night.
The evening will consist of live music by jazz musician Dayle Jellyman, dancing, hot chocolates by The Wellington Chocolate Factory and cake. Entry is by cake or koha.
