If you start your day with a big glass of wa­ter be sure to run the tap rst. The Min­istry of Health is re­mind­ing house­hold­ers that some plumb­ing ttings al­low tiny traces of met­als such as lead and cop­per to build up in wa­ter that’s been sit­ting in the tap overnight. The Min­istry rec­om­mends that you ush a mug­ful from your tap each morn­ing – just to be on the safe side.
