Named one of NZ’s best path­ways

The Te Ara Piko path­way along the shores of the Pau­ata­hanui In­let has been recog­nised again as a top walk­ing track. It’s a nal­ist in the Liv­ing Streets Aotearoa awards, in the Best Walk­ing Fa­cil­ity in New Zealand cat­e­gory. The path­way is a joint project be­tween the Coun­cil and Plim­mer­ton Ro­tary and stretches 3.4 kms be­tween Mo­tukaraka Point and Pau­ata­hanui vil­lage through salt marshes and a bird wildlife re­serve.
