Thanks from Kmart

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

After 20 years, Kmart and our charity partner, the Salvation Army, are humbled yet again by the amazing generosity of New Zealanders who give to the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal at Christmas time.

Wellingtonians should be proud of their generosity. They banded together to ensure that Christmas was happy, not just for their own families, but for the entire community, donating an impressive 2959 gifts to the Wishing Tree Appeal at Kmart Porirua.

The appeal is a special tradition for many families and the support it receives is heartwarming. It means so much to those who hit hard times to know that people out there care and are willing to offer support during Christmas.

In addition to 42,273 gifts donated, this year shoppers could also contribute online or at Kmart registers – with $9469 being raised.

On behalf of the Kmart team and our friends at The Salvation Army, I would like to thank every person who donated to the appeal.
