Crafty day in store at Battle Hill fair
The Eat, Drink & Be Crafty fair on Saturday will have a record number of stalls.
The fair, at Battle Hill Farm Forest Park, Pauatahanui, runs from 10am to 4pm.
John Gibbs, from fair organiser Mana Lions, is hopeful 5000 visitors will attend.
‘‘This year we have more than 90 stallholders and locally made arts, crafts and food,’’ Gibbs said. ‘‘There’s pony rides, bouncy castles and games for the children, which makes it a fun day for the whole family.’’
Local band Rough Copy will play near the central area where people can lay out a picnic, Gibbs said.
A gold coin donation will be needed to park, with proceeds going to Wellington Free Ambulance.
