Pupils from Glenview School in Cannons Creek welcomed an overwhelmed Wendy Creurer and Bronwyn Pullan, with a powhiri greeting on Friday, February 20.

Porirua Sundown Rotary gifted 47 copies of The Usborne Illustrated Dictionary to two senior classes at the school.

The project is aimed at providing pupils in year 4 and above in low decile schools in Porirua with their own dictionary.

The Rotarians hope that the gifts will be taken into the children’s homes and become a reference for other family members.
