Tawa men cling­ing to lead

Tawa- Lyn­d­hurst’s men’s team are the ones to beat in Welling­ton in­ter­club ten­nis, but they were made to work hard against Maun­garaki on Satur­day.

Char­lie Hud­son and Shane Glover won their sin­gles matches, and Mar­cel and Shane Glover their dou­bles. The tie was drawn 3-3, which leaves TawaLyn­d­hurst a point ahead of Thorn­don on the points ta­ble.

Tawa- Lyn­d­hurst’s pre­mier women’s side were beaten 6-0 by Welling­ton Wake­field.

Ti­tahi Bay’s pre­mier women’s side were sim­i­larly thrashed 6-0, by Maun­garaki, and are one place above Tawa-Lyn­d­hurst.
