Pulse go down sec­ond time

The Pulse crashed to their sec­ond suc­ces­sive de­feat of the 2015 ANZ Cham­pi­onship net­ball sea­son when they lost to the Queens­land Fire­birds 52-46 at Te Rau­paraha Arena on Sun­day evening.

De­spite the vo­cif­er­ous sup­port of a large home crowd, the Pulse trailed through­out, though only by 23-21 at half­time.

For the Pulse, de­fend­ers Kate Grant and Ama Ag­beze worked hard against 1.96m shooter Romelda Aiken, who missed eight shots.

How­ever, Pulse shoot­ers Irene van Dyk and Jodi Brown were not ac­cu­rate enough, and the pres­sure told late in the game as the vis­i­tors got on top.
