A smattering of rain didn’t keep the crowds away from Creekfest on Saturday.

Though it never got really heavy, misty rain settled over Cannons Creek Park for much of the day.

Nevertheless, organiser Liz Kelly said about 30,000 people turned up to enjoy music, food, sport, free rides and wander around the tents of many community agencies.

‘‘It was awesome and I’m sure there were more people than last year,’’ she said.

‘‘It just goes to show that the community looks forward to this event. I’m really stoked with how it all panned out.’’
