Aotea College marked its summer sports day on February 27 with a show of school pride.

Mohua House romped away with the title, nearly 100 points ahead of Kakariki.

Records broken on the day were Kaylum Calcott in the junior boys’ high jump (1.62 metres), Julie Tusa in the junior girls’ high jump (1.43m), Keanu Brightwell in the year 10 boys’ discus ( 34.30m), Desmond Matofai in the year 11 boys’ discus (33.33m) and Liam McGill in the year 13 boys’ discus (35.90m).

On the bank overlooking the main sports field, the entire student body spelt out ‘‘ACHS’’, followed by the year.

Dressed to the nines: Members of Pukeko House demonstrated their true colours.

Something different: Aotea College students sat in their houses and showed their school spirit.
