Pukerua school gala a big hit

Kapi-Mana News - - NEWS -

Pukerua Bay School’s school gala on March 21 was a roaring success, bringing in $28,000 for the school.

‘‘We were blown away by the support our small school gets, not just from our local community, but from all over the region,’’ principal Mary Jones said.

‘‘So much effort goes into the day and it’s wonderful to see it being so rewarded.

‘‘Visitors seemed to enjoy the many bargains on offer, with great results from our stalls, especially our fabulously decorated sweets stall.

‘‘ The proof is in the pudding with our amazing food. It was enjoyed so much there was nothing left by the end of the gala!’’

The proceeds from the gala will go towards the school’s landscaping plan.
