The 2015 Porirua Expo on Saturday will be bigger and better than ever, says Aleisha Rouse, membership and events manager of Porirua Chamber of Commerce.

First run in 2011, the expo has grown annually in attractions, businesses and organisations, and also in attendance.

The expo was designed as a showcase for Porirua’s businesses, organisations, activities, community groups and sports.

‘‘ Last year we had about 5000 attend and we would love to see that trend continue,’’ Rouse said.

‘‘ We’ve incorporated everything under one roof for one day to create one big expo.

‘‘ It’s everything Porirua. From businesses like Mitre 10 Mega to small businesses to sports teams. It’s a really wide range of things.’’

Rouse said one thing that would be different this year was the inclusion of the careers expo.

She said this year’s expo would be special because 2015 was Porirua’s 50th anniversary.

The expo is organised by the Porirua Chamber of Commerce and Porirua City Council.
