A play hiding within a play

Two nights have already sold out for Mana Little Theatre’s wicked take on Macbeth.

The show, which opens on June 24, is a performance within a performance of the Bard’s famous play.

The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild is presenting Macbeth and hilarity ensues, as the ladies valiantly attempt to overcome set, sound and light failures.

Directed by Sue Mortimer, old favourites of previous Farndale shows are back – from Mrs Reece, the leader of the ladies, Thelma, the wannabe leader, and young Felicity – and this time they’re joined by even more wacky characters in their attempt to put on a play.

Tickets are on sale at mlttickets@gmail.com, or phone 233 2235 and leave a message. Patrons can get 25 per cent off their meal at Topor in Plimmerton, by booking for the show in advance.
