From 17 August 2015, the Department of Conservation Po¯neke/ Wellington Office intends to apply bait to control possums and rodents within the 130ha Colonial Knob Scenic Reserve. Feratox strikers containing cyanide to control possums and Pestoff Rat Bait cereal pellets containing diphacinone to control rodents will be placed in exisitng bait stations. These pesticides are poisionous to humans and domestic animals. Always remember: DO NOT touch bait WATCH CHILDREN at all times DO NOT EAT animals from this area DO NOT Allow dogs access to animal carcasses.
Observe these rules whenever you see warning signs placed at the public access ways to Colonial Knob Scenic Reserve.
