We hope you enjoy our review issue. When we perused this year’s papers, we were amazed by how much happened in 2015.

A lot goes on in Porirua and Tawa anyway – festivals, parades, sport, exhibitions and so on. But this year seemed even busier than normal, with the Gallipoli centenary, floods and Porirua’s 50th celebrations all commanding attention.

There were controversies, such as the smell coming from Spicer Landfill, rental housing and unpopular city council decisions. And there were people to be proud of, our local heroes. We hope we’ve covered them all off in this issue.

We thank you, our readers, for your feedback in our letters columns and on Facebook, and for suggesting stories we might publish.

It’s been a busy year. Stay safe and enjoy your holiday break and let’s all return fresh and eager in 2016. Our first issue of the new year will be in your mailboxes on January 12.
