Writers’ group spokeswoman Pam Kessler said MacIver would talk about how she became a successful children’s writer and share tips about getting published.

The group, established five years ago, aims to promote children’s literature through community projects.

It has published two anthologies, featuring the work of local writers and children, and has run writing workshops and competitions. Juliette MacIver talk, Kapiti Community Centre, 15 Ngahina St, Paraparaumu, Thursday, April 14, 7pm, RSVP to Anne Ingram, 902 0985.
