Vikings lose to Randwick

Another three-try haul, to the Randwick wing Raymond Ah Wong, and two touchdowns by Jesse Oloapu meant Randwick beat the Porirua Vikings 54-14 at Naenae Park on Saturday, after leading 28-4 at halftime.

It was Randwick outside back Lincoln Timoteo’s 50th premier match, while his teammate Bronson Marino scored 18 points with a try and seven goals from 10 attempts.

Te Aroha Eels also turned on the gas in the second half to beat the St George Dragons 62-4 after leading 18-4 at halftime. The Eels scored 11 tries, with Jon-Marc Stowers scoring three.

In the other games, Wainuiomat­a beat Petone 46-16, Upper Hutt defaulted to University and Whiti Te Ra had a bye.
