Art mission accomplished
Painting student Carla Torr with her mother LydiaWaharoa, as Aotea College art students proudly displayed their work to friends and family last week.
The end-of-year art show exhibited the portfolios created by senior students.
The students choose their own themes and subject matter then work on their portfolios throughout the year before they are assessed as part of their national exams.
With themes including identity, environmental damage, the Syrian Crisis and social media, the folios included painting, printmaking and photography.
Head of Department Catherine Collins said the event was a success.
‘‘The show was a great chance for whanau, friends and other students to not only view the talented work our students produce, but also a chance to share in their success at completing such a big portfolio of work.’’
