WINTER IS A GOOD TIME

to do a bit of indoor gardening. If you want to grow something that’s fast, fun and good to eat, try pea shoots. A pea shoot is a baby pea plant, eaten before it grows tall and bears peas. Find your inner Master Chef and try pea shoots in sandwiches or sprinkled over pizza or pasta. Pea shoots are ideal winter salad greens to grow by your kitchen window or on an outdoor table. They’re ready to eat in just two or three weeks! You can grow them from any kind of edible pea seed. Snow peas grow the fastest.
