Z ...is for Zinnia

Kids Go Gardening - - News -

We love Zinnias’ bright happy colours. Butterflies love them too. Tall zinnias are great for picking. Dwarf zinnias are ideal in pots. They grow easily from seed sown straight into the garden in October or November, once the soil warms up. If you want to get started earlier, sow seed in pots or punnets of Yates Black Magic. Plant the seedlings out once frosts have passed, taking extra care not to damage their roots.

ZINNIAS LOVE SUN and warm, well-drained soil. They don’t like it too wet or humid. Give them plenty of space.

TIP:

Your zinnias will make more flowers if you pinch out the first little bud on each seedling and feed them with Yates Thrive.
