The sweetest strawberries

1

Prepare your soil. Choose a spot where your strawberry plants will get all day sun. Mix plenty of compost or some Yates Dynamic Lifter PLUS Fruit Food into the soil. Or if you are planting in a container, fill it with top quality planting mix that has slow release fertiliser mixed in.

2

Plant your strawberry plants. Take care to plant correctly: the place where the stems join the roots is called the ‘crown’ and it should sit at the soil surface so that just the roots are buried.

3

Water thoroughly.

4

Feed with a liquid fertiliser such as Thrive Strawberry Food. For best results in containers, feed every week after plants start flowering.

5

Cover with netting to stop thieving birds and don’t be tempted to pick your strawberries until they are properly ripe and super sweet!
