“Travelling’s not something you’re good at. It’s something you do…like breathing.” – Gayle Foreman (1970 – )
TLive long and prosper he never-ending possibilities of adventure, of experiencing new cities/towns/villages, of tasting different foods and the destinations available to travellers these days are almost beyond belief. The choices are as wide and varied as your thinking… and your budget! As the great philosopher, Willy Wonka, once said (sung actually) “Come with me… and you’ll be… in a world of… pure imagination”.
We know that Let’s Travel magazine has inspired many of you to the destinations we are lucky enough to be invited to and report back on, and we will continue to do so each and every issue.
A perennial favourite, and a place I took my kids to once they were at ‘that age’, is Anaheim. Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, San Diego SeaWorld, Universal Studios… the list goes on and on. The every changing face that is America’s Playground just keeps seeing more and more Kiwis flying north. The number of visitors year-on-year keeps trending up, and with more options on how to fly to LA seemingly increasing every week, the airlines are offering deals like we have never seen before. Take advantage of them… book those flights, and enjoy the 40-page feature we have on this “magical” destination in this issue.
Also… Shane Boocock explores Namibia, Paul Rush heads to Orakei Korako just outside of Taupo, we uncover the Loyalty Islands of New Caledonia and the best things to do and see in Monaco.
Myself? I get on board the Venice Simplon Orient Express from Paris to Venice. Bucket list item ticked off.
