FROM THE DAD’S PERSPECTIVE

Little Treasures - - SUBSCRIPTION OFFER -

I always enjoy getting my copy of Little Treasures and this issue was no exception, I really enjoyed the article on the dad’s side. So often the focus is on Mum and it was great to read about the dad’s perspective. My husband often felt a little left out as it’s all about Mum, especially at the beginning, which I was more than fine with, but reflecting back and reading this article, the dad’s side is so important. Families are changing; the parenting role is a shared one and the balance of two parents makes the family unit whole. As a family we take up particular roles. I was recently informed that I do all the work and Dad’s the fun one – I’ve taken that on board and I’m going to try and change that balance, be more fun and chill out with the kids. They grow up so fast and the washing will always be there! I wonder what Dad thinks about that? Caroline, Christchurch
