I IS FOR ITCHING

Little Treasures - - NEWBORN DAYS -

If you have an itch that can’t be scratched, see your GP. It could be intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, a liver condition that can triple your risk of still birth. No one knows the cause, but it affects 1 in 1000 pregnancies. Look for dark urine, light-coloured bowel movements and slightly yellow eyes. However, normal itches are common in pregnancy and occur because the skin around your tummy is stretching. To help your skin stretch, try a moisturiser such as Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula.
